The joy of creating has been my anchor since childhood, keeping me balanced during a long career as a nurse educator, wife and mother. This joy has allowed me to reach my current age with a spirit, mind and body that is resilient and grateful. I purposely and consistently use materials in my art that have had another life; ever conscious of the energy that the material has absorbed along the way – both negative and positive – and giving it new energy by transposing it into another form. I also use antique tools, welcoming the intent of the person who previously used the hook or the scissors, to influence and be a part of the evolution of the new piece. The joy of creating has been an anchor since childhook=d, keeping me balanced auring a long career as a nurse educator, wife and mother.
